Canadas Premier Food Corridor

About CPFC

Canada’s Premier Food Corridor (CPFC) is a collaborative initiative aimed at advancing the agri-food sector in Southern Alberta through investment attraction and industry advocacy. The corridor encompasses several municipalities, including Lethbridge County, the Town of Coaldale, the Town of Taber, and the Municipal District of Taber, working together to promote the region’s strengths in agriculture and food processing. CPFC serves as a central hub for stakeholders, providing resources, information, and opportunities to foster economic growth in the agri-food industry.

The Challenge

CPFC required a dynamic and user-friendly website that could effectively showcase the region’s strengths and resources. The existing digital presence lacked the necessary tools to engage stakeholders and provide easy access to relevant information. Key challenges included:

  • An outdated design that did not reflect CPFC’s mission and regional advantages.

  • Limited functionality for users to access resources and submit events.

  • A need for scalability and adaptability for future enhancements.

Key Pain Points Resolved

To address these challenges, the following solutions were implemented:

  • Leveraged the theme designed for chooselethbridge.ca: We built the theme off the custom design that we created for the Economic Development Lethbridge website. This provided a clean layout, intuitive navigation, and flexibility to build off of.

  • Custom Interactive Resource Form: A custom-developed interactive form was implemented to streamline access to various resources. This tool allows users to filter and locate information pertinent to their interests, such as investment opportunities, workforce development programs, and regional data.

  • Event Submission Form: To foster community engagement and keep stakeholders informed, an event submission form was integrated. This feature enables users to submit events related to the agri-food sector, which are then reviewed and published on the website’s events calendar.

  • Scalable Infrastructure: The website was built with scalability in mind, ensuring it can adapt to future technological and functional enhancements.

Conclusion

The revamped CPFC website successfully serves as a centralized platform for information dissemination and stakeholder engagement. The incorporation of interactive tools enhances user experience, making it easier for visitors to access resources and contribute to the community’s growth. With a scalable infrastructure in place, CPFC is well-positioned to evolve its digital presence in response to future opportunities and challenges.
