We’re looking for a talented Digital Marketing Strategist who will play a pivotal role in shaping, executing, and optimizing our marketing efforts to drive lead generation, business development, and client value.
Role Overview
You will be responsible for developing and executing digital marketing strategies that generate high‑quality leads, support growth for our service‑company clients, and continuously optimize performance. This is a mix of strategic thinking, hands‑on execution, data‑driven decision‑making and creative content development.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
– Develop, execute and optimize full marketing mix for service‑company clients: inbound/outbound digital channels, marketing automation, lead‑gen campaigns.
– Initiate new marketing strategies to engage target audiences, position services, drive conversion and improve client retention.
– Recommend and implement SEO strategies (keyword research, on‑site optimization, link building) to drive organic growth.
– Monitor, analyze and report on campaign performance: set KPIs, track analytics, evaluate ROI, iterate accordingly.
– Conduct competitor research and market/industry trend analysis to inform strategy and maintain differentiation.
Content, Channel & Creative Execution
– Develop content calendars and schedules: websites, landing pages, emails, blogs, white‑papers, social media, video scripts.
– Lead creation and coordination of text + visual assets: ad copy, landing pages, email templates, graphics, print/online materials.
– Collaborate with team (designers, developers, sales) to ensure campaigns are aligned, conversion‑focused and well executed.
– Manage and optimise social media channels (organic + paid), email marketing initiatives, display and paid search campaigns.
– Use A/B testing, audience segmentation, retargeting, conversion rate optimisation (CRO) to improve campaign outcomes.
Measurement & Optimisation
– Use analytics tools (Google Analytics, Tag Manager, CRM data, marketing‑automation platforms) to interpret data and drive decisions.
– Report on performance, produce actionable insights for stakeholders, and adjust strategies based on data.
– Build and refine dashboards, present findings, lead continuous improvement.
Skills & Qualifications
Experience & Education
– Post‑secondary degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
– 5‑7 years’ experience in digital marketing (preferably in service‑based companies, B2B or professional services).
– Proven track record of developing, executing and optimising marketing strategies that drove measurable business results.
– Experience managing multi‑channel digital campaigns (SEO, PPC, social media, email, content marketing) with analytics and ROI orientation.
Technical & Hard Skills
– Strong understanding and hands‑on experience with SEO/SEM, paid search (e.g., Google Ads), social‑media advertising, email‑marketing tools.
– Proficiency with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager), marketing‑automation platforms, data visualization/dashboarding.
– Experience with A/B testing, conversion rate optimisation (CRO), landing‑page optimisation and audience segmentation.
– Content strategy & creation: writing, editing, coordinating visuals, developing content for websites, social media, blogs, newsletters.
– Familiarity with CMS (e.g., WordPress), and basic HTML/CSS a plus.
– Experience with marketing automation (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot) and CRM integration is a strong plus.
Soft Skills & Other Attributes
– Strategic thinker with strong analytical and creative skills—able to interpret data and translate into engaging campaigns.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
– Comfortable working independently in a remote/distributed environment; self‑motivated and proactive.
– Adaptable, comfortable with change, and keen to stay ahead of digital marketing trends and technologies.

Compensation & Benefits
– Base salary range: CA$80,000 – CA$95,000 per year (reflecting 5‑7 years experience, digital strategy + execution scope, service‑company context, remote/Canada basis).
