The Cheeky Monkey Media Blog
A few words from the apes, monkeys, and various primates that make up the Cheeky Monkey Super Squad.
2014 is the Year of the Monkey… Isn’t it?
January 28, 2014 / Treena BjarnasonWell, it’s about time to start earning my pay and do something with the Cheeky Monkey blog. But, as a wise man once said, it’s better to work smarter than to work harder. That’s exactly the approach I think I’m going to take.
Yup… executive decision-making.
We’re going to remake this blog – make it into something bigger, better, and cheeky. Or, at least, more cheeky monkeys (no, not possessive – plural). In the weeks, months (dare we say years?) to come, all the monkeys are going to be submitting posts for your edification and enjoyment. By making the monkeys write, not only will we be able to provide you with a better spectrum of information, but I’ll be able to “delegate” writing responsibilities to the team. Smart!
We have a pretty diverse crew here in the zoo, and the posts should (assuming all goes to plan) encompass all manner of subjects – from basics of web development to simple marketing advice, from developer insights to project management, from Drupal happenings to interesting tech news.
But, not to worry, we’ll still be spicing up the blog with monkey happenings in the office, keeping you up to date about what the monkeys are doing, and how we’re swinging in the zoo. Our hope is that we can give you a great idea of who the monkeys are, and an even better idea of how good we are at our jobs.
That said, I still have to do some “managerial” tasks, and for this, I could use your assistance. If any of the subject matter is confusing, unclear, or just doesn’t help you figure out what’s happening in your world (helping you see the jungle through the trees, so to speak), let me know. I’ll be sure to whip the monkeys back into shape and keep the monkey blog in as much plain-speaking English as possible.
This endeavor holds a lot of promise for fun and monkeyshines, so I’m eager to get started. I’m looking forward to seeing what the monkeys come up with. I’m looking forward to having fun here on the blog. I’m looking forward to hearing more from our friends, clients, and even prospective clients about subjects they’re interested in. But most of all, I’m looking forward to working smarter, not harder.
In fairness, I’m just putting my faith in the infinite monkey theorem: “a million monkeys banging on a million typewriters will eventually reproduce the entire works of Shakespeare”
Oh, monkeys… don’t fail me now.
